Urban Cafè sarà a disposizione per cocktails e food tutta la notte (pezzi caldi della tradizione tipica siciliana e.... dopo la mezzanotte, i mitici cornetti caldi!)

Un nuovo grande evento con il piacere di riavere a Catania il nostro grande amico Tj Marcelo Rojas.
Nella splendida cornice dei Viagrande Studios avremo l'opportunità di ballare al ritmo della musica di uno dei migliori DJ di tango al mondo. Tutti ricordano che Marcelo ha vinto il Tango Awards 2018 come miglior DJ di tango e continua ad essere oggi un riferimento per i Tj di tutto il mondo.
E' noto, inoltre, anche per il suo lavoro sulla sua "Radio 2 x 4", la radio ufficiale del tango di Buenos Aires e per aver organizzato la leggendaria milonga "Confitería Ideal".
Ogni volta che Marcelo viene invitato a Catania per eventi come quello del 2 novembre o per il Festival Internazionale di Agosto, siamo sempre consapevoli che il suo gusto e la sua sensibilità musicale riusciranno a trasportare il pubblico della milonga direttamente a Buenos Aires.
Come lui, anche noi siamo convinti che il tango del passato è bellissimo, ma che anche il tango di oggi è importante. Dobbiamo mantenere vivo lo spirito del tango e della musica del tango: ballerini e Tj amano tutti diversi tipi di musica, e, secondo Marcelo, il ruolo del Tj deve essere, oggi, quello di mantenere una mente aperta e ascoltare tutti i tipi di orchestre... comprese quelle contemporanee. E quindi, dice Marcelo: "qui non esiste il "vero" tango. Solo un'evoluzione della musica".

Urban Cafè will be available for cocktails and food all night (hot pieces of the typical Sicilian tradition and.... after midnight, the legendary hot croissants!)
(Urban Cafè is the exclusive refreshment point of the Catania Tango Festival at Ciminiere).
Entrance: €10 until 9pm / €12 from 9pm onwards > (with non-alcoholic drink included)

A new great event with the pleasure of having our great friend Tj Marcelo Rojas back in Catania.
In the splendid setting of the Viagrande Studios we will have the opportunity to dance to the rhythm of the music of one of the best tango DJs in the world. Everyone remembers that Marcelo won the Tango Awards 2018 as best tango DJ and continues to be a reference for Tjs around the world.
He is also known for his work on his "Radio 2 x 4", the official tango radio of Buenos Aires and for having organized the legendary milonga "Confitería Ideal".
Every time Marcelo is invited to Catania for events such as the one on November 2nd or for the International Festival in August, we are always aware that his taste and musical sensitivity will be able to transport the milonga audience directly to Buenos Aires.
Like him, we are also convinced that the tango of the past is beautiful, but that the tango of today is also important. We must keep the spirit of tango and tango music alive: dancers and Tjs all love different types of music, and, according to Marcelo, the role of the Tj must be, today, to keep an open mind and listen to all types of orchestras... including contemporary ones. And so, says Marcelo: "here there is no "real" tango. Only an evolution of the music".
